Josh Weber, co-founder of NZero and a former attorney with a distinguished background in regulatory and energy matters, brings a forward-looking vision to the field of sustainability. His early career experience laid the groundwork for NZero’s commitment to delivering accessible, accurate, and transparent data solutions that drive decarbonization and empower customer strategies. Now, as CEO, Josh is steering the company into its next phase of growth, prioritizing advanced analytics, market expansion, and continuous innovation to solidify NZero’s leadership in the sustainability sector.

John Rula is the Chief Technology Officer at NZero, where he spearheads the development of the company's cutting-edge carbon management software, overseeing both the Engineering and Data Science divisions to deliver pioneering solutions in sustainability and carbon analytics. With a Doctorate in Computer Science from Northwestern University (2016), John has established himself as a thought leader in software engineering and large-scale infrastructure systems. Prior to his role at NZero, he spent five years at Akamai, the world’s largest content delivery network, as a Senior Software Engineer, where he led high-complexity infrastructure projects, contributing to Akamai’s global network resilience and scalability. His academic and professional background positions him at the forefront of technological innovation in environmental sustainability.

Matthew is a dedicated executive leader with a strong commitment to advancing mission-driven companies and scaling businesses that prioritize the common good. He brings extensive experience in executive management, having led two startups focused on sustainable specialty crop production in the Midwest. Matthew’s strategic vision and leadership have been instrumental in driving growth and innovation, positioning these companies at the forefront of sustainable agriculture while delivering impactful solutions that benefit both the industry and the environment.

Kohei began his career at Mitsui & Co. after graduating from Keio University, where he led new business investments and M&A activities in the renewable energy sector across Japan, Europe, and Latin America. During an overseas assignment in Brazil, he oversaw investments in distributed solar ventures and secured a successful solar bid in Mexico, while also establishing a solar fund in Japan. In 2019, he founded ASUENE Inc. with the mission of "Changing the world for a better next generation." Under his leadership, ASUENE has grown into a multi-product Sustainability AI company, developing the AI Sustainability Integrated Platform ASUENE, ESG Rating AI Software ASUENE ESG, and Integrated Carbon Credit AI Platform Carbon EX. He has been recognized with numerous awards including the Forbes Japan Rising Star Award and Forbes Japan 100.

Before joining ASUENE, Yusuke was Chief Operating Officer of WealthPark, a proptech startup. Prior to WealthPark, he worked for Mizuho Securities in the investment banking division, Carlyle Group in the corporate buyout team, and Taiyo Pacific Partners, a Seattle-based hedge fund. Yusuke holds an MBA from London Business School, a Bachelor of Information Science and a Master of Industrial Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology.

Yuji began his career at Sumitomo Corporation after graduating from a US university, contributing to international trade and M&A initiatives. He went on to build his career at global organizations including Morgan Stanley and Google, where he served as Sales Manager in the Advertising Sales Division, leading client partnerships across industries ranging from large enterprises to high-growth startups. Most recently, he served as Vice President and Japan Representative at Josys Inc., overseeing marketing, sales, channel partnerships, and customer success. He joined ASUENE Inc. in November 2025 as Chief Growth Officer, and in July 2026 assumed the role of Chief Operating Officer at ASUENE USA, bringing a proven track record of scaling businesses and driving commercial growth across global markets.
